The Future 
What will the future hold for the community bridge? As required by Missouri Law, the Community Bridge will become the property of the state of Missouri at the time that the nearly $43 Million in Bonds needed to finance the planning, development and construction of the bridge system have been repaid. Tolls at that time will be eliminated and the bridge system will become the responsibility of the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT). The Lake of the Ozarks
Community Bridge is currently owned and operated by the Lake of the
Ozarks Community Bridge Transportation Development District.
